Object of service industry development of our province

During the period of Eleventh Five-Year Plan, we will speed up development of service industry, optimize the structure, and enhance our ability of innovation. Our target is that by the end of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, the added value of service industry will account for 45% of GDP, and 50% by the end of 2020, catching up with moderately developed countries. Service industry will become a major driving force of economic development; its modernization and internalization will rank first in the country. A socialized service system, with Guangdong as its base, the whole nation as its object of service, and Hong Kong, Macao,ASEAN as its cooperative partners, will come into being.

Main Task

Strengthening five advantageous service industries: transportation, tourism, real estate, finance and wholesale & retail

 Encouraging the development of three production service industries: business service, logistics and exhibition service

 Promoting fast growth of three new service industries: information service, science and technology service and cultural industry

 Strengthening and improving two living service industries: resident service industry and catering & hotel industry
