China's Top Political Advisory Body Begins Annual Session The First Session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) began in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing at 3pm yesterday(Mar 3rd). CPPCC National Committee Chairman Jia Qinglin announced the opening of the session and delivered a keynote report. In his report, he conveyed the foreign exchange achievement made by CPPCC during the past five years. A total of 2,195 CPPCC National Committee members from throughout the country attended the opening meeting. They will underline major concerns of the nation's development during the annual session scheduled to conclude on March 14.
