Beijing Olympic Torch Relay Officially Started President Hu Jintao officially launched the Beijing Olympic torch relay this morning at Tiananmen Square, marking the start of the torch's 130-day global tour before the 2008 summer Olympics in August. The Olympic torch's globlal trip also ignited the Olympic passion of Guangzhou citizens. Many people are considering where and how to witness and support Beijing Olympic Games when the torch arrives in Guangdong province. Our journalist Yu Sulin has more. With the arriving of the Olympic flame on May 7th, Guangzhou citizens said they will take some concrete actions to support the torch relay. "Witnessing the torch pass through Guangzhou is a great opportunity to support the Olympic Games,why not go? I will go to Beijinglu to witness this great event because Beijing lu symbolizes the path to Beijing." Because The 15th Asian Games Doha's torch relay was held in Guangzhou last year, most citizens are psychologically prepared to deal with traffic control during the days of torch relay, and hope the traffic control plan can be more precise.
