Chinese Mainland Tourists Start Historic Taiwan Holiday The first weekend charter flight from the mainland to Taiwan, arrived in Taipei this morning (July 4) with it leaving Guangzhou at 6:30 AM. The flight operated by China Southern Airlines (CSA), has carried the first group of 106 mainland tourists from Guangdong, who will start a historic journey to Taiwan. Holidaymakers from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Xiamen and Guangzhou will stay in Taiwan for 10 days.

Arabic TV to Spotlight Guangdong's Opening Up The Dubai-based Arab Asia Business TV (AABTV), a satellite operator owned by overseas Chinese, will produce a TV series to mark the 30-year anniversary of Guangdong's opening up. Our journalist Liuxu has more: The programs, supported by the Information Office of the Guangdong People's Government, will cover 30 business people and famous brands from Guangdong. It is to broadcast in 21 countries across the Middle-east and North Africa. The two sides inked the cooperation yesterday (July 3). The Director with Information Office Li Shoujin said "Through this program, we aim to improve Arabic countries' understanding about Guangdong, so as to attract more business people to invest more capital and technology in the province. "
Typhoons Expected to Hit Guangdong in July Guangdong will be expecting hot and sunny weather today(July 4) with an estimated high of 36 degrees. With the increasingly warm weather, Typhoons are expected to become more frequent during the end of July. The forecast for July will see temperatures 0.4 degrees higher than usual with more rainfall in most areas.
