Nuri Expected to Hit Guangdong

The 12th typhoon of this year-Nuri, the strongest so far, is very likely to hit landfall and affect the mouth of the Pearl River along the Yangjiang and Shanwei cities at noon till midnight. The typhoon will bring heavy rainfalls. Guangdong marine department issued an ocean wave red alert for the first time this year. Guangzhou today will be cloudy with overcast, with rainstorm expected and the lowest temperature 26 degree.

 

Post-Olympic Economy Estimated to be Stable

Experts specializing Beijing Olympic Economy made an announcement yesterday at the press conference regarding Beijing Olympics and Beijing's economy development, that Beijing's economy won't experience large ups and downs post the Olympics. Our reporter Zhu Yuzi has more.

Guangzhou to Launch Super Computer Center

Nanfang Daily reports, Guangzhou is gathering pace to introduce a series of investment projects worth of over 100 million yuan each into the city. One of the projects will feature a super computer center to be launched in Guangzhou, the third largest across the country.
