Registration for Guangdong's recruitment of 100 civil servants, including Foshan and Dongguan's vice mayor position is complete. Each position requires a strong command of a foreign language. 6277 people have registered.

 

A Buyers Market for Househunters

Statistics released by one of Guangzhou's real estate websites reveal that people think housing prices in Guangzhou will continue to drop for the six months following the Olympic Games. Most will not search for housing during the National Day Holiday from October 1st to 7th, even though it's considered as a good time for property sales.

  

Country's First Power Supply and Management Regulations Implemented

The government implemented Guangzhou's Power Supply and Management Regulations yesterday (September 1st). This marks China's first local control of power supply and management. The power grid plan now be part of the city's overall urban planning. Real estate agencies should provide electricity plans prior to sales, while property companies are prohibited from cutting electricity if bills are overdue.

 

3 killed, Three dead, 20 Injured in Bangkok Clashes

Reports say 3 are dead and 20 injured during violent clashes between pro-government supporters and anti-government protestors in central Bangkok early today (Sep 2nd). China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised Chinese citizens and travel groups to postpone plans to visit Thailand.
