CNOOC to Invest 45 Billion on Huizhou Oil Refining Base
The China National Offshore Oil Corporation will invest 45 million yuan to further develop the oil refining base in Huizhou. The increased capital aims at expanding oil refining capacity to 22 million tons per year.
Barrier-free Taxies Appear in Guangdong
A Foshan company will put twenty barrier free taxis into service on Sep. 4th. They are designed for accessibility to disabled people. The remote controlled turnable seats can rotate 90 degrees to meet disabled passengers so to access seating with little efforts. The Foshan barrier-free taxies are making their first appearance in Guangdong Province.

Guangzhou's 65 Enterprises and Corporations Experience Drop in Earnings
The latest data released by Guangzhou Statistics Bureau indicates that for the first half of 2008, the city's 65 enterprises and corporations, due to price hikes in coal, oil and agricultural products, have generated less profit than last year. An near 20% drop. The power production and supply sectors experienced the largest decrease of 51% in earnings.
