NBA China 2008 Season Opens on October 15th
According to the latest information released by the event organizing committee, the NBA China 2008 Season will open at the Guangzhou Gymnasium on October 15th. The NBA has reached an agreement with relevant districts and signed a memorandum. In Luogang District for example, a NBA venue will be built. Tickets for the opening game are being sold from 380 RMB to 2800 RMB. Basketball fans can book their tickets through the Emma Ticketmaster website, by telephone, or they can go to the ticket office at the South Gate of the Tianhe Sports Center.
Guangzhou Customs: Export Enterprises Not Involved in "Tainted Milk Powder"
According to statistics released by Guangzhou Customs, none of the enterprises exporting milk products via Guangzhou Customs from January to August were listed among the 22 "tainted milk powder" producers. The statistics showed that from January to August this year, Guangzhou Customs exported a total of 700 tons of milk products, including milk powder, yogurts, baby formula milk powder, and ice cream, worth nearly USD 800,000.
Baishuizhai Scenic Spot to Reopen September 28th
According to the Guangzhou Municipality Tourism Administration and the Zengcheng Municipal Government, the Baishuizhai Scenic Spot will reopen on September 28th. It was forced to close in June after "Typhoon Fengshen", and now, after three months of maintenance, the water and power supplies within the Scenic Spot have been restored and the park can welcome tourists once again.
