30 More Bus Routes to Open By the end of this Year in Guangzhou
Guangzhou Communications announced yesterday(Oct 5th), that the city will develop an additional 45 bus routes for medium-sized and mini buses. The move is an effort to facilitate transportation(for citizens) and will feature the connection with the housing estate and different transportation means, such as metro. Lei Sheng, Deputy Director of Guangzhou bus management office, introduced,
"30 of the additional bus routes will be operated by the end of this year. The rest of 15 bus routes will open as the metro line 5 and 6 are put into operation next year. If the new bus route plan is fully implemented, there will be 124 bus routes for medium-sized and mini buses, accounting for 22% of the total in the city."
Foshan's Import and Export Growth, Higher than the Province's Average
Statistics released by Foshan Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation showed, that the total volume of import and export of Foshan city, located at the south center of Guangdong, amounted to 28.9 billion US Dollars from January to August of this year, a growth of 1.7%, higher than the province's average. The import growths are mainly in air conditioners, ceramics and furniture, over 3% increase respectively.
Heavy Rainfalls Continue in the Next Three Days in Guangdong
Affected by the Tropical Storm HIGOS, Guangdong began experiencing heavy rainfalls starting yesterday. The Province's Meteorology forecasts heavy rain forecast ahead over the next three days.
