Drill Held to Test Transportation of Canton Fair
Guangzhou Traffic Commission carried out a drill at the wharf of Pazhou International Convention of Exhibition Center to test the handling capability of public transportation and taxis for the upcoming Canton Fair. 110 buses and taxis, one ferry and 300 staff took part in the drill. The one-hour drill tested the emergency response in case a large number of passengers got stranded at the complex.

Shares Regain 2000
The Shanghai Composite Index today (October 10) plummeted by 3.57%. This afternoon saw a slight rise ending the day above the 2000 point benchmark. The Shenzhen Component Index dived further by 5.52%. 

China sets new standards for dairy industry
China's State Council issued a series of quality control regulations for dairy products on Thursday. The regulations tighten control to how milk-yielding animals are bred, how raw milk is to be purchased and other rules concerning the production and sales of dairy food. There will also be more severe punishments for people who violate safety standards and quality control departments that fail to fulfill their duties.

Temperatures to Drop
A cold front is entering Guangdong tonight (October 10), causing temperatures to drop. Guangzhou's temperatures will range between 24 and 32 degrees tomorrow. Occasional showers are to be expected in western Guangdong, whilst the remaining areas will vary from cloudy to sunny.
